On December 6 – 9, 2017, FAST sent its largest contingent of athletes yet to the Speedo Winter Junior East Championships in Knoxville, Tennessee. Making the trip to Knoxville with Associate Head Coach Alec Haley were Noah Baldwin, Tim Bennett, Morgan Booth, Madelyn Christman, Meghan Christman, Kyle Haflich, Abby Jahns, Amilia Nusbaum, Kyla Srncik, and Drake Stallworth. Your Tigers were certainly FAST in Knoxville.
“The 10 athletes we took to Knoxville continued a long-standing tradition FAST has of swimming FAST at national-level meets. Every single athlete swam a lifetime best at some point during the meet,” began Coach Alec. “I am extremely proud of the way the athletes shined during relays. The effort they put into learning and growing as a team throughout the trip was tremendous. This meet is the first step in our journey of becoming a USA Swimming Gold Medal club and these athletes set us in the right direction.”
Thanks to all of the family, friends, and FAST fans for your tireless support of our athletes. And, a special thanks to the FAST swimmers who sent words of encouragement throughout the meet. We truly are a team and cannot reach these – and even greater heights - without each of you.
Congratulations again on a great Junior national championship meet to all of our competing athletes. We are excited to see what new heights we can achieve together. Tiger Up!
