PVA athletes compete at WPI

As PVA heads in to day 3 of the Crimson Aquatics Specialty Swim Meet at WPI's Natatorium this weekend, there are many amazing swims to speak of! Day 1 started off with the 12 & Under 200 IM for Sophia Holmgren and Harper Stevenson. Both girls had amazing personal best swims and went on to compete in the 500 yard freestyle of which they also dropped additional time for another round of best times! To add to this awesome Friday evening, Samantha Stevenson started her weekend speeding through the 400IM and Julia Holmgren sailed her way to a personal best in the 500 yard freestyle! Cole Kuster and Isaac Boyd wrapped up the evening with the 1000 yard freestyle and PVA went home amped for day 2!

Today marked the second day of the Crimson Aquatics Specialty Meet and PVA did not disappoint! In addition to the 6 athletes who swam on Friday evening, Sunny Cart, Mia Holmgren, Tyler Hynes-Drumm, Graham Maramag, Tashi Rai, Abigail Scholl, Lydia Shustack, Savannah Shustack, Asa Stone and Gabriela Zasada all met to compete in some close and exciting races! PVA's Sunny Cart and Mia Holmgren swam in the 8 & Under session which ran very quickly and left them little time between races. They did not let this lack of rest time affect them, however! They both dropped significant time in their events and Mia placed 3rd in her 25 yard butterfly while Sunny placed 4th in her 25 yard breaststroke.

Good luck to all athletes as you head in to day 3!!
