Coach Amy’s Comments:
1.) CGAC Super Bowl Splash: Congratulations to all of our swimmers who competed in the team hosted Super Bowl Splash! It was awesome seeing the improvement in our swimmers and watching as they earned new best times, divisional, state, and zone cuts. The coaches are very proud of how far the swimmers have come this season and are excited about the remainder of the season as we begin to prepare for short course Championship meets (they will be here before you know it!).
A special congratulations to our white team swimmers who concluded their short course season with this meet! The coaches are very proud of you and how much you have learned in such a short time. Enjoy your break and we look forward to seeing you again when we start long course season on April 9th.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all the parent volunteers and coaches for their help this weekend. The meet ran great! We even received compliments from visiting teams about how well the meet was run. An extra THANK YOU to our meet coordinator, Kim Ferguson, for organizing and overseeing all of the volunteers.
2.) NO PRACTICE TODAY: There is no practice today (1/30) due to a home Middle School Swim meet. Come out to support the future of CGHS swimming and diving as they take on Plainfield MS at 6:00!
3.) THT Meet: This meet is closed for new entries. Initial entries will be sent out by Tuesday evening. Please let your coach know if there are any needed changes by 8am Thursday. Please note, this meet is open to all teams that are still in session (Red, Black, Pre-Senior, and Senior).
4.) Swim Lesson Registration: Spring Swim Lesson dates are posted on the team website under the "Register for Swim Lessons" tab. Online registration will open February 19. Please see the website for further details.

From Meet Coordinator Kim Ferguson:
Thank you again to EVERYONE who worked so hard this weekend! It was great seeing so many new families learning the ropes along with our veteran parents who continue to do so much!
If anyone is still needing to turn in gift cards, it's not too late. We will take those through next week. Please write your name on the card and put it in the payment box.
If you borrowed a volunteer shirt, please, please, please wash and return it within the next week. There is a blue bin under the ribbon table where you can turn them in. We need to assess how many more we need, so please turn them in instead of keeping them until the next meet.
If you are still needing to fill some of your 6 credits, I am offering a Swim Meet Follow-up/FAQ meeting next week on Wednesday February 7th at 5:15. I will answer any questions you have now that most of you have experienced a meet. I will also offer more tips on how to make sure you get some credits done before the Super Bowl Splash next year so that you aren't working all weekend at one meet. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to come just so I know how many to expect for planning purposes. (If you don't need credits, you are also welcome to come, just please email me as well). Even if your swimmer is a white team swimmer and is done for the season, you are welcome to come to the meeting!
Please check our credits, especially check that I received your gift card(s) if you donated. When you login to the website, on the left side, click "my Account". Then click on "My invoice/payment" also on the left side. Then towards the upper middle of the screen, click on Service Hours. The jobs listed at the top are the things you have been given credit for. You can scroll over to see your balance. Please email me if you see mistakes so that I can fix them. I don't want anyone to get billed by mistake.
I have a couple of spots left for people to get a credit by working middle school concessions. Please email me if you are interested in working one of these meets, Feb 8th, Feb 14th, and Feb 20th. It would be concessions only and I only need one person at each meet to help Jane.
