The Otters attended the BA Gold Fever Invitational on January 26-28, 2018 at Purdue University. We placed very well and all swimmers really gave it their all. Otter boys placed 3rd of 18 teams and girls placed 11th of 16 teams. We had as a team 125 personal best times, 11 established times, 55 top ten finishes, and 13 new divisional cuts. This our first meet all swimmers made at least one personal best time. Nice job Otters!! The top finishers are as follows:
Point leaders: Vivian Reidenbach with 105 points earned, Graham Linderwell with 119 points earned, Braden Mallery with 90 points earned, Brandon Runyon with 89 points earned, Ellie Coyne with 81 points earned and Brody Page with 80 points earned.
Annika Carpenter took 10th in the 11-12 50 back and 100 back. Nice Job!
Ellie Coyne was on fire with 6 top ten finishes. She took 2nd in the 8 & under 25 breast and 50 breast, 8th in her 25 back and 100 IM, and 9th overall in her 25 fly and 50 back.
Kody Coyne raked in 3 top ten finishes with an 8th overall in the 13-14 200 breast and 10th place in his 100 breast and 400 IM.
Caleb Geimer took 5th overall in the 13-14 200 breast and 6th in the 100 breast. He also scored another divisional cut in the 500 free with a time of 5:54.10. Awesome!
Addyson Heyerly banked her 6th divisional cut in the 11-12 200 free with a time of 2:32.78. Go Addyson!
Rylan Heyerly scored 4 top ten finishes. He took 3rd in the 9-10 100 free, 4th in his 50 free, 6th 100 back, and 7th in his 100 breast. Nice job Rylan!
Carson Heister scored an 8th place finish overall in the 13-14 500 free. He also got his 3rd divisional cut in the 13-14 200 back with an established time of 2:33.04.
Ella Krug took home 2 new divisional cuts in the 11-12 50 free with a time of 31.83 and 100 free with a time of 1:09.28. AWESOME!!
Annika Linderwell blew it up with 4 new divisional cuts. She took cuts in the 11-12 50 free with a time of 31.39, 100 free with a time of 1:09.86, 50 back with a time of 37.02 and the 500 free with a time of 6:40.07.
Graham Linderwell took home 7 top ten finishes for boys. He took 5th over all in the 8 & under 25 back, 6th in the 25 free and 50 back, 7th in his 25 breast, 50 fly, 50 free, and 8th overall in his 25 fly. Congrats Graham.
Griffin Linderwell took 8th overall in his 9-10 200 IM. Nice work!
Braden Mallory lit it up with 6 top ten finishes 4th overall in the 15 & over 200 back, 6th in his 100 free, 7th in his 200 free, and 8th in his 200 IM, 100 breast and 50 free.
Morgan Markley took home two 6th place overall finishes in the 15 & over 50 free and 500 free. She also scored another divisional cut time in her 100 breast finishing with a 1:18.37. Nice Job!
Riley Meredith made 2 more divisional cuts. She pulled a 1:23.80 in the 13-14 100 breast and 1:05.86 in her 100 free. Way to go!
Brody Page had 5 top ten finishes in the 13-14 100 back, 100 fly, 200 fly taking 6th overall and 7th in his 200 back and 500 free. The 500 free scored him another divisional cut with a time of 5:34.49. Sweet!
Vivian Reidenback earned the most top ten finishes for girls with a total of 8. She took home 5th place overall in the 8 & under 100 IM, 25 free, and 50 fly, 6th place overall in her 25 back, 25 fly, 25 breast, and 50 free, and 8th place overall in her 100 free. Nice Work!
Brandon Runyon burned it up with 8 top ten finishes for our boys. He took 1st overall in 15 & over 100 breast, 3rd in his 200 breast, 6th in the 200 back, 7th in his 50 free, and 10th overall in his 100 fly, 200 IM, 100 free and 100 back. Awesome job Brandon!
I am proud of all of our otters swimmers it is shaping up to a great year. Looking forward to seeing you all Junior Superstars this Weekend!
