What a fantastic start to 2018 !!
Winskill Dolphins were so proud to see everyone back at the pool after a blissful winter break. Despite some illnesses floating around here and there, we had some athletes really outshine their groupmates and for that, their coaches would like to reward them the January Swimmer of the Month award!!
On behalf of the coaches, CONGRATULATIONS to all of you! We hope you continue your hard work for the rest of the year.
JD BLUE S1
month Adam has been such a role model to the other swimmers! He
always comes to practice with a smile on his face ready to swim. He
has improved so much this year and is very eager to learn. Great
work this month :)
JD BLUE S2

eager to swim. She's a great listener and helper in and out of the
water! She has so much enthusiasm and is able to do 100% effort
every practice. Amazing work this month!
JD BLUE S3
Breanna has really shone through this month! Her freestyle arms are gliding through the water and looking spectacular, her kicking has really picked up this month and is helping her in her backstroke aswell! Good job Breanna and keep up the good work.

JD GOLD S1
This past month Addy has made large improvements with her skills with the biggest one being her breastroke! Addison's drive to do her best both in and out of the water is truly amazing! Keep up the great work Addy! :)
JD GOLD S2
With Weston joining the group after a significant portion of the swim season having gone by already, I’m so proud of the ease with which he has slotted into the JD Gold setup. He is a great little swimmer, with awesome attendance and an even better attitude to the sport he is my swimmer of the month. He swam excellently at our Swim Meet and I look forward to seeing his times get better and better with each meet that he partakes in. Well done Weston.
January has been an absolutely fantastic month for Brooke! Brooke has really worked hard with her swimming especially her 200 IM which paid off as she is 10&under Tier 1 qualified in her 200 IM and 100 backstroke!! Brooke's bubbly attitude and hard work ethic are the exact characteristics of what it means to be a Winskill Dolphins swimmer. Brooke will be greatly missed by her AGB team mates as she is moving on up to Age Group Gold! Congratulations Brooke and keep up the great work! :)
Mei has made outstanding changes this month and I am very proud to present the January Swimmer of the Month reward to her! She has grown stronger not just physically from her hard work in dryland and in the pool, but mentally as well. Mei has shown courage in taking on tough challenge sets and stepping out of her comfort zone. The increased hard work and the level of focus she has put in to her practices these days has certainly given her the results she deserved at our WDSC LMR meet. She achieved 100% best times in various events ranging from 50 free to 200 back to 400 IM plus the butterfly leg she swam on a team relay! Great job Mei ! I’m so proud of you and I hope you keep up the good work!
After achieving 100% best times at our WDSC LMR meet, Sassy has continued her streak of improvement these past couple months. For that, she has won January Swimmer of the Month for the Provincial group! Despite being gone for the first couple weeks of the month, Sassy showed that those weeks were not wasted and came back to the pool still fit and strong for our tough workouts. Her turns and backstroke in particular has improved a ton after she dropped 7” in her 100 back and 4” in 50 back! This just proves that little changes to technique can make a big difference. Keep it up Sassy! Don’t give up like you never do!
The swimmer of the month for January in the National group is Jamie Hutton. Jamie has constantly been one of the best performers at the swim meets. Jamie consistently has been performing a high ratio of her best times at every meet to date! Jamie also has an excellent attendance record since the beginning of the season. Jamie also displays a very conscientious work ethic during her workouts. Her positive attitude and helpful nature has won her January swimmer of the month. Congratulations Jamie!!
