DSSC's February Fun meet

This past Saturday, Feb 3rd, the Delta Sungod swim club (DSSC) hosted its 3rd Fun Meet. Over 60 young athletes participated in the event, and it was great to see this consistent attendance, allowing the coaching staff to track better the progress of their students.

Swimmers raced an average of 3 events, including individual medley, dolphin kick, freestyle, and backstroke. After racing, coaches organized a small Olympic-like game, representing 8 different countries. Germany went for the gold medal! Congratulations!
All present families were able to share some snacks, kindly prepared by our volunteer parents and coordinator, Neena Sunner. A big thank you to you, and to all timers who helped to make this event smoother every time.

The Delta Sungod Swim Club is currently participating in the Swim-A-Thon. It is a nationwide fundraising event, to try to help non-for-profit swimming associations throughout the country. DSSC's goal is to reach 10000$ this season. 1 720$ was raised so far!

The club will be awarding our Get off the Blocks Fast prize to the single swimmer with the highest raised amount as of Wednesday, February 15 at 9:00am.

For the highest earner of the 2018 Swim-A-Thon, DSSC will be giving away an iPad Mini.  This prize will be based off the highest single earning individual in the club’s total.   This prize is valued at approximately 600$.
