SSC Swimmers to Represent at CWG 18
Commonwealth Games Team announcement
Dear Members,
CIASA is proud to report that the Cayman Islands Olympic Committee (CIOC) / Cayman Islands Commonwealth Games Federation has named the official Cayman Islands Commonwealth Games team that is set to compete at the XXI Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia from the 4th-15th April, 2018.  The Cayman Islands will be represented by 22 athletes, across 7 sports - Athletics, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Shooting, Squash and Swimming.
The four Swimmers representing the Cayman Islands are:
David Ebanks - 50m Breastroke and 100m Breastroke
Lauren Hew - 200m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke
Alison Jackson - 200m Freestyle, 50m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle and 400m Freestyle
Iain McCallum - 50m Butterfly, 100m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle
The Cayman Islands first competed in the Commonwealth Games in 1978 in Edmonton Alberta, Canada. Since that time we have competed in every edition of the Commonwealth Games for a total of 10 Games to date. This XXI Commonwealth Games will be our 11th.
The Cayman Islands Aquatic Sports Association (CIASA) wishes the Cayman's athletes a safe and successful Games in Australia.
