Saskatoon Goldfins Achieve National and Provincial Time Standards at the

2018 Brainsport Winter Classic & Development Meets

The Saskatoon Goldfins competed in the 2018 Brainsport Winter Classic and in the Brainsport Development Swim Meets this past weekend.  The Goldfins were represented by 120 swimmers. 

“The meet was an all-around success.  Our athletes had outstanding performances and our parents ran a high-quality competition,” said, Paul Armstrong, Goldfins Head Coach.   “The Goldfins were firing on all cylinders!”

The Goldfins posted 139 personal best times in the Winter Classic Meet.  Swimmers achieved many new Long Course time standards, therefore, allowing them to attend upcoming competitions held throughout the country.

Congratulations goes out to Blake Tierney for achieving his Canadian Senior Championships time standard in the 100 Backstroke – 1:01.84.

The Goldfins were represented by 79 swimmers in the Brainsport Development Meet.Swimmers from AG2, AG1, Development, and Intro Groups together achieved 283 personal best times.
