Mayhew downs 5 TEAM RECORDS as FAST takes Dutchman by storm

 

Haley Mayhew (17) lead TEAM FAST in extraordinary fashion the Lost Dutchman Invitational in Chander, AZ.  Haley set  5 NEW TEAM RECORDS as she defended her title in the 200 Breast (2:18.15), took 2nd in the 500 Free (5:03.88), and split her way to a record in the 50 Back (29.19) in winning the consolation final of the 100 back.  She also set a new team mark in the 400IM (4:40.71) and 200 Free (1:53.13).  She also took second in the 100 Breast and 50 Breast at the meet taking home a trophy for 5th in the womens HIGH POINT.  Heidi Bockisch (18) was also in fine form setting a new team record in the 200 Fly (2:07.18) taking 6th as well taking 7th in the 500 Free with a personal best of 5:17.57.She rounded out a great meet with best times in 5 of 6 events and another 6th place finish in the 100 Fly.  Kaylan Ottosen (14) was also in record breaking form setting a new mark in the 13-14 50 Back finishing 2nd in a 28.18.  There were some memeorable girls swims from Rachel Stamer (13) who swam 2 new state qualifying times, Paige Housman (13), who swam 7 out of 8 new personal best times (incldung a new state time in the 500 Free and 200IM, Peyton Kerby (10) andRya Kiernan (14) who both  swam 7 out of 8 personal best times, Grace Heuber (15) who swam 4 out of 5 new personal bests,Rachel Kahn (16) personal best in the 100 Free  Lucy Matson (17) who swam 6 out of 7 personal best times, Maggie Sommerhauser (16) who swam 2 for 2 personal best times, Mikaela Adamas (10) who swam 2 for 2 best times,  Maisey Addison (10) who swam 3 out of 3 personal best times,  Hannah Wu (13) who swam 2 out of 3 personal best times, and Valeria Liera (16) who anchored the womesn 4x100 Free Relay to an extrenley exciting 2nd place finish.  Overall the FAST GIRLS out scored the FAST BOYS by 68 points to 61!!

On the men's side there were also a remarkable number of fantatsic swims.  Wyatt Matson (17) lead the charge finishing 2nd in both the 100 Fly (51.86) and 50 Fly (23.57) which was also a NEW TEAM RECORD!  He was 5th in the 500 Free, 6th in the 50 Free, 7th in the 200 Free and showing his versatility also finished 8th in the 100 Breast and 5 out of 8 personal best times at the meet and taking 6th in the MENS HIGH POINT RACE. Luke Weibel (9) was also a strong points scorer, despite being at the "bottom of his age group" and racing older boys He had a great meet going 5 for 6 in personal best times while placing 4th in the 9-10 Boys 100IM and 100 Breast, 5th in the 100 Back and 200 Free, and 100 Breast.  He showed himself to be the top 9 year old in the meet. Gabriel Condit (11) was also outstanding in his 9 out of 10 personal best times, also competeing at the "bottom" of his age group with numerous 2nd swims over the long week-end.  Ian Urquhart (17) also had a good showing setting personal bests in 4 out of 6 races and finishing 5th in the 200 Fly!  Aiden Lampard (9) went 4 for 4 personal best times AND made it back for a 2nd swim in his 100 Back as a 9 year old!  Well done also to Michael Kahn (14) who picked up anothe 2 NEW STATE QUALIFYING TIMES in the 13-14 age group. Owen Art (16), Isaac Baesler (13), JP Greener (18), Spencer Murphy (17), Ryder Platt (17), Landyn Riester (17), CJ Swiniuch (15), Rylan Wichterman (14), Jaden Wu (11), and Caden Brookes (14) all swam exceptionally well posting an extraordinary number of personal best times between them.
