CMA Finishes Off January Well At TOPS

Our  Junior  and  AG Gold  swimmers had a great time at the Tops Meet in Denver! Qualifying to swim at a time standards meet is always an accomplishment and our kids stepped up big, had fun, and swam some great times! Our  Juniors  were led by  Abi   Stevens  and  Samantha Synsvoll , who together swam six new State Cuts!  Abi  swam an 11-12 qualifying time in the 100 back and a 13-14 qualifying time in the 50 free! All eight of her swims were best times at this meet!  Samantha  swam seven best times, including new State Cuts in 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, and 50 back!  Kytelyn Pieper  and  Cardin   Nguyen  each swam three best times, with  Kytelyn  dropping nearly 3 seconds in her 100 back and  Cardin  dropping more than 4 seconds in his 100 fly!  Elam Estella  swam six events, with a big drop of more than a second in his 50 fly, and has now moved up to train with the Junior group! From  AG Gold Zoe Harris  swam eight events and had especially large time drops in her 100 free - nearly 6 seconds, and 100 IM - 2 seconds!  Kayla   Bentley  swam three events and bettered her 50 fly Silver State qualifying time by more than a second! It was a very successful, fun weekend!

On the last weekend of January we had four of our Senior swimmers competing at DU at a prelim/final meet with some stout competition. Of our athletes there, Kambry Lightfoot had the best weekend, posting 3 new best times (100 breast, 100 fly and 500 free). Caroline Bricker recorded 2 new best times (200 back and 400 IM), as well as Isaac Eilmes (200 back and 500 free). Also coming away with one new best time was Bethany Slivka (200 fly).
