Traditionally, we have always voted for next years Parent Board positions at our banquet which meant you had to attend the banquet to have a chance to participate. This year we are jumping on the technology bandwagon and taking care of this electronically ahead of the banquet. This will give every family the opportunity to be involved in the process of choosing the Parent Board members who will help steer the SPDY ship. The nomination form is now open and available to you via the SPDY website. You must log in to the website to access it under the "Team Info" tab. There you simply choose "Parent Board Voting" line and you will get to the form. Enter your email address, fill in your nominations for the various positions (you need not nominate someone for every spot), and submit the form. Nominations will remain open until March 5th. I will then reach out to all of those who have been nominated and verify they are willing to accept that position if voted in. In the case where someone is nominated for more than one position I will verify which the would prefer. Once that is complete we will reset the form to allow for voting which will have a deadline of late March. You can nominate current board members for positions, nominate yourself for a position, or choose someone else you feel would do a good job in a position.
The form lists who the current members are and the positions we know will need to be filled. Moving off the board this year will be current President Jon Scharbarth, current Sec./Treasurer Jen Stupar, and current Fundraiser Shari Summers.
We will announce the new board members at the banquet and follow up with an email so if you cannot attend, you will know. Remember, the banquet info is on the website and we need you to respond yes or no if you will attend and how many in your family will attend with a breakdown for adult and children. We will send out an email to let you know when you can start paying at the front desk.
Please take the time to get involved, nominate yourself or someone else, and vote.
Thanks much - Jon
