The Tigers had their first swim meet in 2 years at the renovated Tiger Tank last Friday by hosting the Capuchino Mustangs and earned 4 team victories. The swimmers established 21 personal best times and both varsity teams placed first in all individual and relays.
The varsity girls topped the Mustangs 125 to 34. Kaycie Lindland, Allison Wong and Cassie Smith were all double winners while Sara Olsen won the 100 fly and Kirra Dolan the 50 freestyle. Brooke Garrett swam the 100 fly for the first time and placed second with a time of 1:15.89.
The varsity boys defeated the Mustangs 129 to 36. Freshman Luka Goncharov and sophomore Berg Guibadoulline were double winners. Alex Amundsen captured first in the 500 free, Johnny Nitenson placed first in the 50 free, Patrick Harmon won the 100 backstroke and Zach Zavodnik finished first in the 100 breaststroke.
The JV girls scored 141 points to the Mustang’s 35 and were led by double winners Jennifer Murphy, Sophia Alyward. Gia Sazbo won the 50 fly, Mayalani Leal captured the 100 breaststroke and Anna Steinberg won the 50 free with a personal best time of 31.73.
The JV boys defeated the Mustangs 86 to 69. Hunter Wong Hin and Ethan Kapp were double winners
The Tigers will host South San Francisco Friday at the Tiger Tank with the first race beginning at 3:30.
