Hello TorpedoesNation,

THT Arctic Blast

One swimmer was accidentally missed while mentioning high point award winners from the Arctic Blast:  Carter Moore was 2nd place high point in the 9-10 boys.

Also, here is a link to pictures taken at the meet by our photographer:

Practices end this week

Our last week of practices for all swimmers is here.  After Wednesday, only those athletes participating in Championships meets (divisional, state or speedo sectionals) will be welcome at practices.  We will pick back up after the Vigo County Schools Spring Break.

Callouts for Summer Season

Callouts for the summer season will be Wed Apr 4th and Thur Apr 5th from 6pm-7pm each night.  Current swimmers need not try out again, but any friends or family are welcome.

Splish Splash at the Southwest Divisional Bash

We are hosting this championship meet.  To swim, athletes must have qualifying times.  Swimmers will compete in a format exactly as our Arctic Blast was set up, and we will need parent volunteers to help us run this meet.  We have a few extra surprises and incentives for athletes and workers alike.  Help us host the best meet we can Mar 2nd-4th.

Championships Spaghetti Dinner

Spaghetti dinner for those athletes competing in Championship meets this spring will happen on Thursday March 1st.  We will have food for senior athletes at about 5:15pm, and for agegroup athletes at about 7:30pm.

All athletes should be ready for a championship team picture at 5:45 that night. (before practice for Age Group Swimmers)

Lessons program

Registration is now open for March lessons.  They begin Mar 5th-6th and continue through the 22nd.  Six 30 minute lessons, with an instructor in the water.  Great for friends of your swimmers, and great for those Spring Break plans.

High School State Meet

Congrats to Terre Haute North’s Nathan Sommer, placing 26th in the men’s 100 Breaststroke at the State meet on Friday night.  Adding a few one-hundreths from his sectional win, he represented well.  He will continue training for Divisionals, Senior State, and Speedo Sectionals later this month.
