The Golden Bear group had another memorable weekend in Canton this past weekend with a number of standout performances!
The highlight was senior and Pitt signee Dakota Elliott winning the 200IM in the 2nd fastest time in state history (a UASC record) 1:58.78. Dakota also placed second in the 500 free.
Senior Kendra Sheehan placed 8th in the 100 free and 9th in the 100 back.
Junior Alec Caswell placed 9th in the 500 free and 11th in the 200 free.
Luke Landis placed 20th in the 500 free.
Contributing on relays were Emma Schuler on the 5th place medley, 200 free relay (both of those with Dakota and Kendra), and 10th place 400 free relay; Sophia Elliott and Erin Reardon on the 400 free relay.
Avery Voss, Gavin Voss and Antonio Ventresca placed 20th place on the 200 free relay. An additional congrats to freshman Avery Voss who broke the club record at districts in the 100 free with a 47.95...the record was 16 years old and was held by UA great Nate Cass!
Additionally, a number of UASC alums have been swimming well at the college conference meets from the D1 to D3 level, we should have some moving on to NCAA champs later this month!
The Golden Bear group finishes their short course season this Friday-Sunday with Senior Meet in Bowling Green!
