The Langley Olympians Swim Club attended the Swim BC Tier II Winter Championship this last weekend in Kamloops BC. There were 30 teams from across the Province in attendance and the Langley Olympians placed 6th overall and set a total of ten club records.
Hugh McNeill set a total of five club records this weekend. He broke the boys 13-14 1500m Freestyle with a time of 16:50.01, the boys 13-14 50m Backstroke with a time of 27.90, the boys 13-14 100m Backstroke with a time of 59.66 this record was previously set by Olympian Jake Tapp in 2003. Hugh also broke the club record in the boys 13-14 200m Backstroke with a time of 2:04.75 and the boys 13-14 400m Individual Medley with a time of 4:36.35.
Bailey Herbert broke two club records this weekend. She broke the cub record in the 15-17 girls and open girls in the 50m Freestyle with a time of 26.66. These records were previously set but Morgan Mark in 2010.
Joshua Kim also broke two club records this past weekend. He broke the 15-17 boys and open boys club record in the 200m Breaststroke with a time of 2:16.03. These records were previously set by Joshua himself.
Piyush Kaul broke the boys 11-12 club record in the 50m Backstroke with a time of 32.19, this record was previously set by Piyush himself.
Reese Blunden also had great weekend of swimming and swam 100% best times.
