Some news from Coach Michelle...

David Fry NS Championships
Our Crusader squad of 11 qualifiers carried the team to a 10th place finish at the NS Champs held this past weekend at Dal.  Erica Arenovich. Hannah Ashford, Sophie Casey, Sarah Dessureault, Lauren Rhuland, Susana Somerton, Riley Allen, Ben Chen, Matthew Croft, Luke Gallant, and Hasan Hosny all helped to build our team score. It was a very competitive meet with teams from NB, PEI, and NL in addition to the NS team. Thanks to our swim parents who helped with electronics, stroke and turn, and timing.
Finding enough officials was a challenge this weekend, and there were a few meet delays for the athletes while we waited to find enough timers. In July at the Ken Dunn NS provincial Champs the Crusaders will be hosting.  This is the top Atlantic region meet for the season and additional teams from Ontario can be expected to join those who came to the recent meet.  Mark the date on your calendar - July 5th to 8th at Dal and July 9th for the open water swim at Long Lake.  We will need the assistance of all member to run a great meet - parents and swimmers 13 and over who are not in the meet can participate as timers; younger swimmers may help with hospitality.  It's a perfect way to finish off the '2017-2018 Survival Season' and to celebrate all that we achieved as a Team!!
