CAC High School Swimmers have great Champtionship meets!!!


Several CAC swimmers competed in the past 2 weeks at their Championships in CT and RI.

Rhode Island State Champs


Wes Rea placed 2nd in the 100 Fly with a 50.80 (USA Futures Qualifying Time) and 4th in the 200 Free with 1:46.73.

Abby Vetrovec placed 7th in the 100 Breast 1:11.10

Emma McCall placed 11th in the 50 Free 25.81 and 13th in the 100 Back 1:04.20


Jack Benavides placed 2nd in the 100 Breast 58.85 (USA Futures Qualifying Time) and 5th in the 100 Fly with a 52.44

Hannah Benavides placed 2nd in the 100 Breast with 1:06.69 and 5th in the 200 IM 2:14.55



ECC Swimming Championships



John Marcolina broke an ECC record in the 50 free with a  21.35 (USA Futures Qualifying Time)  and won the 100 free with 48.52   

Patrick Nowak broke the ECC 100 Breast record while winning with a 1:00.57.  

East Lyme

Jack Muccianrone placed 2nd in the 100 Free with 52.36 and 3rd in the 50 Free with a 23.75.

Jack Lombardo placed 4th in the 200 free with a 1:57.73 and 2nd in the 500 free with a 5:12.28.


Daniel Estrin finished 7th in the 200 IM and 6th in the 100 fly with 1:08.06

St Bernards

TJ Ward placed 7th in the 100 back with a 1:07.53

The Providence Cup


The Williams School swim team won the Providence Cup last month at Roger Williams University. 6 members of CAC helped Williams win the meet.

WIll Jarrett won the 200 IM and 100 Back.
Joe Sullivan won the 100 Fly and 3rd in the 200 IM
Cyrus D'Arcy won the 100 Breast and 3rd in 200 Free

Alex Doerwaldt placed 2nd in 200 Free and 3rd in 500 Free

Alessandra D'Arcy placed 3rd in the 100 fly and 2nd in the 500 Free.

Hartmut Doerwaldt finished 4th in the 500 Free and 4th in the 200 IM
Will, Joe, Cyrus, and Hartmut Doerwaldt won the 200 Medley Relay.
