Kitzman Drives the Sled on Day 2 of Sectionals

BSC continued it's championship run today at the Central Zone Sectional Meet.  The high point of the day was Catherine Kitzman dropping 2 seconds in her 100Breast, winning the event and achieving a USA Swimming Summer Junior National Qualifying Time!  BSC still holds the lead for the Overall Team championship after Day 2 of the meet!

In the opening event BSC again showed our Freestyle prowess by placing 8 women and 3 men in the Finals.  Tea Ragnini swam to a 7th Place in the D Final, Maria Pritchett was 2nd in the C Final and Ayden Donfris was 8th in the same final.  Becca Galovich tied for the win in the B Final dropping 2 seconds!  Grace Roper swam to 13th place points, Ellie Graves swam to 17th place Team Points. Maggie Emary and Bridget O’ Leary swam great races for two podium spots in 2 nd and 3rd respectively   On the Men's side Jack Hoppe grabbed team point with a 17th place. Dan Emary swam a 15 second Best Time good for 18th place points.  Daryl Kay swam to championship final points and 10th place.  

In the 100Back Mady Gomez swam a lifetime best time.  Emma Pritchett swam to 13th place points.  Steven Fischer swam to a best time as well with a 5 second drop!

In the 100Breast Catherine Kitzman was joined with Mady Gomez's lifetime best, Julie Vega garnered a 3rd place in the C Final with a 2 second drop.  Olivia Gawronski swam to 14th place points and a best time.  Jack Hoppe had a 7th place finish in the C Final.

For the 100Freestyles Bridget O'Leary was on the podium again with a 2nd Place finish and a best time.  On the Men's side Sam Burrell swam a 3 second best time in the prelims good enough for a D finals apperance.  Daryl Kay swam to a 3rd place in the C Finals

In the final event of the evening the 200IM.  Maggie Emary led the women's side with a best time and 4th place finish.  CC Kitzman and Maria Pritchet doubled up and scored 13th and 14th place points each with a best time.  Emma Pritchett swam a gritty 200IM good for an 8th palce in the D final. Olivia Gawronski continued her great day with a best time in prelims. Sarah Langlois showed tremendous heart with her 200IM in a near best time coming off of mono this season.  Jack Hoppe in his third event of the finals swam to an 8th place in the C final.
