Provincials (missing from photo - Jadyn and Lucas Johnston)

This weekend the Blue Fins finished up the first half of the season with the Tier 1 Provincials in Penticton.

The team swam against the best in the province with more Blue Fins qualified than they have for a number of years.

Jadyn Johston led the way with 6 Silver medals, and two 4th place finishes. Jadyn had a fantastic meet as he improved all of his times significantly. Jadyn set club records in a number of swims.

Cristelle Panida placed 12th in the 50 free and 14th in the 50 Fly.

Morgan Langford was 10th in the 200 back and moved her way close to Taylor Fitzgeralds club record set last year.

Rowan Smith was also 10th in the 400 Individual Medley as she improved 22 seconds in this last swim over a very busy weekend.

Lucas Johston finished up with 16th in the 200 free.

Gabrielle Knox finished her best events (100 Breast and 50 free) in 23rd spot.

Peyton Baileys top swim was the 100 fly in 45th spot.

Rebecca Elefson was 23rd in the 400 IM

Head Coach Chad Webb was very pleased with the results as it was a young team that many will be at again for the summer Provincials. The club finished 20th overall out of every club in the Province.

The team will now take a short rest over the spring break and be back at it in April.
