PVA athletes finished day 3 of the New England Silver Championships in style with Shamrock Shakes and smiles! Mia Holmgren, Sophia Holmgren, Harper Stevenson, Samantha Stevenson, and Gabriela Zasada all had many spectacular swims at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction, Vermont this weekend. When asked to name a favorite moment or event the athletes responded with:
"I loved swimming the 400IM for the feeling of relief and accomplishment it brought me this meet to drop 33 seconds in this race and place first!" - Harper Stevenson.
"I loved swimming the 200 yard backstroke this meet because I finally broke the 2:20 time threshold and could hear my teammates cheering me on as I finished my race!" - Samantha Stevenson.
"I loved swimming the 100 yard freestyle this weekend because I finally broke 1:00! I also absolutely loved getting my first Shamrock Shake after the meet!" - Gabriela Zasada.
"The 500 yard freestyle was my memorable race this weekend! I loved placing first in my event and breaking 6:00. It was a milestone/ goal of mine!" Sophia Holmgren.
Mia Holmgren was not available for comment, but had an extremely wonderful meet as she dropped 4 seconds in her 100IM and 1.96 seconds in her 100 yard backstroke!
What an awesome weekend for PVA at the Silver Championship meet! Congrats to all athletes! Enjoy your time off this break and we will see you all back in April!!
