Alpha's Evan Yoo swims to New USA Jr Nationals QT @Spring JOs

(Pasadena, CA) Alpha Aquatics raced hard all weekend against the best age group swimmers of Southern California in the 2018 SCS Spring Jr Olympics Championship, held at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center.

Evan Yoo led the way for the Boys with 6x Finals appearances, including a superb Gold Medal performance in 200yds Breastroke with a NEW US Nationals Qualifying Time of 2:05.46, a time that stands today as the 3rd fastest in the country for the 2017-18 season (13/14yrs old). 

Nick Barner was also outstanding setting a new team record in every race with a total of 3x Finals (11/12yrs old).  Butterfly specialist Kent Nishida captured 2x Team Records (50/100Fly), along with Lucas Hubbard (50Fly/200Fr/50Bk/100Bk).

On the Girls side, Erin Swift was equally fast with 1x Final appearance (100bk), and Sora Koike was amongst the best of the meet in the 500 Free.  The Alpha Relays were also great with a new team record for the 11-12 Boys in the 4x50Fr (Barner/Wheeler/Raymond/Nishida).
