DSSC March LMR Recap

The Pacific Sea Wolves swimmers were off the blocks one last time before Spring Break at the DSSC March LMR. This was the last chance for our Junior 2 and 3 swimmers, as well as Sea Wolves Gold swimmers, to have some fun, and swim fast.

The meet started out with 4 of our Sea Wolves swimmers, doing something they have never done before. Congratulations go out to Frank Xie, Jade Geddes, Jack Wang, and Paul Xu on swimming their first ever 100 Butterfly. All 4 swimmers had an amazing race, and attacked each 25 with a level of confidence beyond their years.  Some great swims came from some of our youngest swimmers in the meet. Hailey Ferrell swam two amazing races in the 50 and 100 Freestyle, blowing her best times out of the water. Audrey Soti also had an amazing pair of races in the 100 and 200 Backstroke taking off over 20 seconds in the 100 Backstroke, and swimming her first ever 200 Backstroke, posting a time that puts her close to the Provincial Tier 1 Standards. Quinn Sneads and Elaine Zhuo both had great 100 Breaststrokes, posting huge best times, and showed a lot of promise in the event. The coaches can’t wait to see what the girls can do in the Breaststroke events in the future.

Best times in the 200 IM, which is a focus event for the PSW program, came from Hailey Ferrell, Quinn Snead, Audrey Soti, Denys Tymchuk, Jack Wang, and Paul Xu. All of our PSW swimmers swam very well over the 2 day meet, and we are so proud of how far they have come this season. Next up for our PSW swimmers is a week away from the pool, then back to their second home for some Spring Break training to get ready for the second part of the season!
