SRVA Swims Great at Hills Meet

Coach Paschalis:

Despite cold, wind and rain we had some good results from both groups from this past meet in Moraga.

From Age Group 2 was Duncan Tsao for the 9-10 years old swimmers with his 100y freestyle swim with the time of 1:18.93. Duncan managed to drop 22sec from his best time and with excellent technique.

From Age Group 3 was Jinna Lee for her 100y IM for the 11-12 years old. Jinna had a huge drop off time for this event with 17sec from her best time and very close to a BB time.

Congrats to everyone for their effort and spirit in this frozen meet.

Coach Audra:

As we move into April we welcome the start of long course season. My swimmers did an excellent job this last weekend at the final short course meet. Alexis Law competed in the 100IM which achieved her a B time. Tyler Valdez blew away his competition in his 25 free with an A time of 17.26 seconds. Also in my Junior Development group Keyla Buhaescu dropped time in her 100 free and is ready for more challenges. We must always remember that we practice the way we want to race. Be mindful during practice and mindless during your races. See you at the pool.

Coach Larry:

Age Group 1 continues to impress me with their motivation and hard work.  They swam very well at this meet in the cold and windy conditions.  It can be very difficult for young swimmers to handle adverse conditions, so I was happy to see everyone deal with it well.  Haley Wong swam really well in all of her races with three LTB.

The Pre-Seniors continued their great season with another strong meet.  We had a lot of lifetime best races and big drops.  Lohith Dasari, Edward Chan, and Rojan Vatannia swam best times in all of their races.  All three of them have worked extremely hard this season and earned to have a great swim meet.

Great swimming by everyone on the team.

Coach Andy:

Another great meet, yes a little rain fell and the wind was a little cool but the SR Development and Varsity groups did very well, with over 60% Life Time Best (LTB).  The groups have been working on improving their strokes while going fast and it did show.

I want to say that it was great to have so many Varity swimmers at the meet and they did great.

Varsity results:

Advait Darbare was 3 out of 3 LTB

Lauren Grooms-Lee 4 of 5 LTB

Agamroop Kaur was 4 of 4 LTB

Paul Maasrani was 3 of 4 LTB

Advait Madhekar was 5 of 6 LTB

Tyler Putzlacher was 4 of 6 LTB

SR Development results:

Romir Chandra new SR Open time in the 200 IM

Anna Langenbach was 3 of 3 LTB

Kyle Tseng was 4 of 6 LTB and a new SR Open time in the 50 Free
