Marianne Harms passed peacefully on August 12, 2017 after battling breast cancer for many years. One of her true loves in life was the time she spent at the Old Orchard Swim Club with our family and friends and cheering on the Otters at swim meets. Her daughters, graduate swimmer, Carlie Harms, and current 15-18 swimmer, Nicole Harms, equally love Old Orchard and spent countless days with friends at the pool. She volunteered at the swim club in many ways, serving as club President and score-keeper for the swim team.
OOSC has given so much to Marianne and our family that words cannot describe. Marianne told me that if she ever won the lottery a significant portion of it would go to renovate and beautify the swim club. Donations in Marianne’s memory to the Old Orchard Swim Club were accepted in leu of flowers or donations to other organizations, and mean a great deal to the Harms family. The beautiful thing about your donation is we know it will be put to good use and will help maintain the club for other families to be enriched as our family has.
Thank you for your donation and all your prayers and support.
