2018 Short Course Far Western

We had 8 CDST swimmers participated in the 2018 Short Course Far Western last week at Santa Clara. This championship meet gave our swimmers many challenges, like four days long swim meet with AM prelims and PM Finals and Relays; fast swimmers come from all around the nation; heave rain on Friday, etc. However, CDST swimmers are not to be daunted by these challenges. We had many great times at the meet.

10 & Un age Group
This was the first Far Western for Eric Meng. He improved his 100 IM time with 1:15.57. He is aiming to have a good race at the Long Course Far Western in the summer.

11-12 age group
Angela D'Amelio participated all freestyle events, from 50 to 1650. Long four days for her, but she still improved her on her 1000 freestyle with 11:37.90 and she split a 25.7 at the 200 Freestyle Relay! Edward Huang participated his best events at the FW. He dropped times at the most of his events. Especially in the 100 Back, he had two seconds drop and time was 1:03.04.

13 & Up age group
Hanlin Chen first time swam the 50 Free under the 23 second with the finish time of 22.83. Anthony Lee made a new PR on his 100 Breast with a time of 1.01.63. Caroline Caron entered 5 events and had good swims on the 200 Fly and 400 IM with times of  2:15.25 and 4:59.43 respectively. She was also the alternate on the 200 Fly FINALS.
