Pavicevic and Kilger named to the Canadian Junior World Championships Team

TSC swimmers are back after a fantastic week of racing Canada’s best at the 2018 Canadian Swimming Championships in Montreal.

Congratulations to National 1 swimmer's Katja Pavicevic and Kennady Kilger for being named to the Junior Pan Pacific Championships   team based on their performances at nationals.

Katja qualified for the team by finishing fifth in the women’s 200m breaststroke final, setting a personal best time of 2:29.55 and a new club record (girls 15-17). Katja raced to the win in the ‘B’ final of  the 200m IM with a new best time and another qualifying time for the Junior Pan Pac Team, as well as finished eighth in the 100m breaststroke final.

Kennady qualified for two championship finals and a ‘B’ final, swimming two personal best times to secure her selection on the Junior Pan Pacs roster. Kennady finished eighth in the 200m freestyle finals, 10th in the 100m butterfly finals, and 12th in the 50m freestyle.

Aleksa Gold was also named to the team after three outstanding performances including a bronze medal in the 100m freestyle (56.09) in her third finals appearance. Aleksa declined her selection to the team because she will be representing Estonia internationally this summer.

TSC is one of only three clubs in the nation to have three swimmers selected for the Junior Pan Pacific Championship team. Congratulations to our swimmers and coaching staff!

You can cheer on our TSC swimmers as they train to face the best junior swimmers in the world at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Fiji August 23-26.
