New Information: {Splash Dash} Wednesday, April 25. Is your kiddo on target to win a Barracuda Swim Bag??  Check the standings on the Barracuda website!  We are a little over half-way to our goal, but still need your help. Log on and start your fundraising now!  We have a week to go!  Every participant will leave the pool deck with a fantastic Barracuda lanyard and their first Brag Tag of the season. We'll also be hosting a Jolyn Women's Athletic Swimwear Trunk Show on deck from 5-7 PM.   Click here for all the details about Splash Dash!

{Time Trials} Saturday, May 5. The online commitment form for Time Trials is up and running! Log-in to your Team Unify account and declare your swimmers attendance, or visit the event page here. Swimmers will race every event on this day.There will be no relays.

{Register with NCSL Before Time Trials} All swimmers must be registered with the league, or they cannot swim in time trials or any meets.  Visit NCSL website to register.  You must register as a new swimmer, as all accounts are deactivated from year to year. {Sign Up for Volunteer Shifts for Time Trials} Have you signed up for your volunteer shifts for Time Trials yet? Log in to your account and where the event calendar is located, you will see a job sign up button located next to Time Trials. Click that button an you will be redirected to a screen to sign up for available shifts. Not all shifts will be posted due to specialty teams that have already been filled for the season.

New Information: {Declare Your Child's Meet Commitment } All dual meets are ready for swimmers to commit! Access all meets from the Barracuda home page calendar section.

{Committee Leads Needed} We have two open spots for committee leads for the season: Hospitality and Ready Bench, this is a great opportunity to a lead a team and become an integral part of the Barracudas! Feel free to reach out to Volunteer Coordinator, Kristen Townsend with any questions or concerns.

New Information: {Stroke and Turn Clinic} Our S&T clinic was a huge success! We had people attending from other teams as well as a lot of Barracudas. We now have a complete S&T team. A huge thank you to Dave Daniels for leading the clinic. Thank you to the swimmers who helped out as well: Abigail Carleson, Nate Carleson, Emma Daniels, Maya Ha, Avery Moll and Emmerson Moll.

{In-house Barracuda Computer/Colorado Training} Saturday, April 21, 9-11 AM.  If you are interested in being part of our Computer/Colorado Timing Team for swim meets, please plan to attend out in-house training. {Coach Hooten Proclamation on the California State Assembly Floor} Monday, April 23, between 1:00 and 2:30 PM. The State of California Assembly will honor Coach John Hooten with an adjournment in memory that will take place towards the end of the Assembly floor session. {Cinco De Mayo “Barracudas Kick-Off Party”} Saturday, May 5, 1:30 PM. We are kicking-off our 2018 Season with a classic Barracuda Pool Party!  Let’s all have a great time hanging out together, getting to know each other better, meeting all of our new SWIMMERS, connect with our incredible COACHES and ENJOY our FAMILIES! Our Barracuda Kick-Off Party starts immediately following our Time-Trials on pool deck at 1:30pm with the festive “Los Gallo’s Mariachi Band!”  The famous “Margarita Man” will be looking forward to you coming by to get a refreshing margarita and FUN kid’s drinks! There will also be a yummy nacho bar filled with all your favorite fixings to enjoy! Please have your swimmer bring an old shirt and their creativity over to our TIE-DYE STATION!  In honor of Coach John and his love for FUN-UNIQUE-TIES...  We will be providing a TIE for each swimmer to flare it out and represent their FUN-UNIQUE-TIE ideas throughout the season in his honor! {Swim with an Olympic Gold Medalist} Save the date: Thursday, June 28. Olympic Gold Medalist Jason Lezak will return to our pool again this summer to run a 1-day swim clinic. The Barracudas will be hosting this clinic but it is open to onther clubs as well, so please help spread the word. More information to come! 

{Champs Weekend} Saturday and Sunday, July 21-22 is Champs Weekend at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. This is a mandatory swim meet. If for some reason you have and extenuating circumstance where you need to be excused please email Champs Chair Liz Williams. There are a block of rooms that have been set up at the Stockton University Waterfront Hotel (209) 944-1140 and the Stockton Hilton (209) 957-9090. Both blocks are listed under Johnson Ranch Barracudas/Liz Williams. This is a courtesy block and available on a first come, first served basis. It is not required to stay in Stockton for Champs. This has been set up as a convenience. Additionally, there are many other hotels in the area.

{High School Swimming} Reminder! High School swimming is not a conflict with the Barracudas. To read more about the bylaws please visit the NCSL website.

{Team Swimsuits} Click here to order your team swimsuit. Additionally, if you want your child's team suit embroidered with the Barracuda logo and/or name, be sure to bring your suit to American Logowear before wearing it!

{BarracudaWear} Click here for all the details about this year's BarracudaWear! Orders placed before April 14 will arrive in time for Time Trials. Orders placed after the 14th will arrive after Time Trials.

{Summer Employment at JRRC} Are you looking for a fun summer job?  JRRC is hiring Lifeguards and Swim Instructors ages 16 and older.  Applicants should submit an employment application, which is available at the front desk.  Pre-employment interviews will take place in March. Those offered a job will be hired upon completion of the required certification program.  Certifications are offered through local park and rec districts, and most take place in the spring, so if you are interested, please contact JRRC Youth Sports Director Jessica Rafanan for more information.
