UPDATES 4/24/18

Long Course Opener

NWAA swimmers had a great showing at the long course opener this weekend. Grace Robbins broke the 13-14 girls team record for the 50 Breast. Shark swimmers also achieved numerous State and Zone Cuts. Thank you to all our shark parents that showed up to be an official this weekend and of course thank you to everyone for cheering on our SHARKS!

Meet Deadline Approaching

Aquakids End of School Invitational - Registration Deadline May 8, 2018

NWAA High School Development Group

Our seven-week summer swim program will provide atmosphere for swimmers age 13 years and older in a relaxed setting. All areas of swim will be covered: correct form of all four strokes, flip turns, starts, finishes and relay exchanges. If interested, you will find more information on our link below.

Coach Marcel wanted every member of our NWAA Sharks swim team to have the same swim cap so the blue caps that swimmers received at our annual banquet and during practice this past week are a gift.  Family accounts will not be charged for these caps.  This gift was made possible by all of those who volunteered at the swim meets that our team hosted this past year.  Thank you!

Our team has replaced participation plaques with additional individual and team achievement awards.  However, if you already have a plaque and would like to add the 2017-2018 year plate, please contact Emily Tong at to place your order by May 7.  Each plate costs approximately 25 cents, plus tax and shipping.

Little Fins Swim School / Shadow Valley Sharks

The NWAA Sharks have partnered with Shadow Valley Country Club. The Little Fins Swim School will be a great program for swimmers ages 3-12, with little to no swim experience. The small group classes will make for a great first experience in the pool. The Shadow Valley Sharks will be a great opportunity for younger swimmers to get there first taste of competition in a low-pressure environment. Both programs will begin on June 4. For more information contact Coach John at

National Special Olympic Games

Cole Groom has organized a gofundme page and wants to know if anyone is able to help our fellow shark swimmer. Austin Corzine will be participating in the National Special Olympic Games in July, in Seattle. All his costs are covered, but Ms. Corzine does not have the funds she needs to attend and support Austin. If you can help, there is a link below that will connect you to the gofundme page to help Austin and his family!
