Coach Amy’s Comments:
First off, I want to thank all of our volunteers and board members for running an awesome Samantha's House meet. The meet raised over $51,000 for Samantha’s House. What a great way for CGAC to give back to our community. It is our hope to continue this partnership for years to come. Secondly, I want to thank all those who registered for Rock the Block in support of CGAC. Our club came in second place and won a $3,250.00 grant. Here are some things that you need to know for this upcoming week:
1.) FAST 500 Entries: Initial entries were sent out Monday night. Please review your swimmer's entry and let their coach know of any needed corrections by 8am Saturday (4/28). We will NOT be adding any more swimmers for this meet. Updates for existing entries only.
2.) Club Kick-off Picnic: I am looking forward to seeing you all this Sunday at 4pm at Independence Park for our Long Course Season Kick-off. Please be sure to RSVP on the events page and bring your chairs for a good time!

Volunteer Opportunity - Joseph Maley Fitness Adaptive Swimming is in big need of more volunteers all throughout the City, as well as Franklin too! They would be very grateful to have some Center Grove athletes involved to help serve their athletes of all abilities. JM Fitness pairs up children of varying abilities and ages with volunteers (high school age and above) to teach adaptive drills and skills appropriate for each athlete. They have 6 pools to volunteer at all throughout the city, and even if volunteers can't attend every session they still look to have them help and fill in when they are available. They are always looking for volunteers to sub most weeks. For more information, see http://www.josephmaley.org/programs/jmfitness/swimming/.
