Team Indiana Day Returns for 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series
Remember that big group in the yellow shirts at Phillips 66 Nationals and World Championship Trials? The group that went crazy every time some one related to Indiana Swimming was in the pool? The group that was on TV more than Rowdy Gaines? Well, Team Indiana Day is back this year for the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series. Join your teammates from around the state for a workout, some pizza, meeting some Olympic Medalists, and most of all cheering on swimmers from across the country that call Indiana home. Activities will begin at 2:30 PM and conclude approximately 8:30 PM.
This meet will feature National Team Members Nathan Adrian, Katie Ledecky, Matt Grevers, Simone Manual, and IU Alum, Cody Miller. In addition, dozens of local swimmers will be competing head to head with some of the fastest swimmers from around the world. The cost for attending the day is $20 and includes workout fees, custom t-shirt, dinner, and reserved seating for Finals session. There is a limit of 50 athletes for this event. Registration closes on May 14th or when the event fills, whichever comes first.
Team Indiana Day is open to all Indiana LSC registered swimmers ages 9-14 who currently are qualified for either the upcoming 2018 Central Zone Open Water Championships to be held in Pleasant Prairie, WI (June 15th) or the 14&u Central Zone Championships to be held in Geneva, OH (August 2-5) The Central Zone Open Water Championship require a minimum of a National Motivational A Time Standard for an appropriate age designated Freestyle event. The Central Zone 14&u Championship require a minimum of a National Motivational AAA Time Standard for the swimmers age on August 2nd. Qualification for the meet will be checked prior to registration being approved. Information for both meets is included below.
