New Information! {Time Trials} THIS SATURDAY, May 5.

  • JRRC gates open at 6:00 AM.
  • Swimmers must check-in between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM. SWIMMERS MUST CHECK IN WHEN THEY ARRIVE AT THE POOL. If they do not check in, we won't know they are there and they may get scratched from the meet.
  • Warm-up schedule - please arrive at the blocks 5 minutes before your scheduled start time, we have more time per level due to not having another team at Time Trials.
    •     Level 2 - 7:00am to 7:10am
    •     Level 3 - 7:10am to 7:21am
    •     Level 4 - 7:21am to 7:33am
    •     Level 5 - 7:33am to 7:48am
    •     Level 6 - 7:48am to 8:05am

  • BYOS: Bring Your Own SHARPIE! Ready Bench volunteers do not mark-up swimmers- bring a sharpie to mark-up your child after the final meet sheet is posted. Please mark your child's hand/arm with Event/Heat/Lane.
  • NEW Barracuda families: If Barracuda swim meets are new to you and you’d like to understand the layout, please email Team Concierge Nick Elcock to meet Friday evening and go over the details.
  • The South Side Café will be offering breakfast and lunch options during Time Trials.  Jamba Juice will also be on deck offering smoothies.

New Information! {Singer/Musician Needed for Time Trials}Interested in singing the National Anthem or playing the tune on an instrument at Time Trials or another home meet? Please contact Vice President/Meet Director, Ray Witkowski.

New Information! {Volunteer Shifts for Time Trials} Help! We need all hands on deck to help make Time Trials a success!  If you are currently not signed up for a volunteer shift, please sign up and help make the day run as smoothly as possible... so we can finish early and start our Cinco De Mayo party!  This is a great way to get to know families, help the day move along, and make it a special experience for our swimmers. New Information! {Cinco De Mayo “Barracuda Kick-Off Party”} Saturday, May 5, 1:30 PM. We are kicking-off our 2018 Season with a classic Barracuda Pool Party!  If you are planning to attend the event, RSVP to Social Chair Trent Lastinger by Friday, May 4!

New Information! {Rio Del Oro Invitational} Sunday, May 6. This Sunday is the first Invitational of the year hosted by Rio del Oro. If you are attending the meet with your swimmer please know that Coach Kim, Joan and myself are not available to attend. It is difficult to swing with our families being the day after Time Trails. We will have Jr. Coach Mado attending and swimming in the meet. She will have her Barracuda Coaches shirt on all day. If you have any questions or concerns while at the meet please ask Coach Mado. She will have contact with me all day if any issues are to arise. We have a total of 11 swimmers attending and wish them all the best as they compete against other swimmers within our Nor Cal Swim League.

New Information! {2018 Team Shirts} Swimmers- If you haven’t picked up your 2018 Team T-Shirt at practice this week, please be sure to stop by the Spirit Tent at Time Trials to pick it up!

New Information! {Barracuda Swim Caps} Barracuda swim caps have arrived and are filed in the family folder boxes. Please check your box before Time Trails on Saturday morning! The coaches would like to see swimmers wearing Barracuda caps ONLY. We love and appreciate all of our incoming swimmers from outside teams but please make sure to leave your old team caps at home. If you did not receive a cap, please contact Tech Administrator Rob Peters.

New Information! {Spirit Tent Assistant Needed} Our awesome and fun spirit tent is in need of a helper during Time Trials and throughout the season, including Champs! Additionally, we're looking for someone to manage the season's Personal Best statistics, and we're looking for someone to head up the ordering of end-of-the-season trophies. These are all great ways to get your hours in!If you are interested or have questions, please contact Spirit Coordinator, Anne Siebum.

New Information! {Ready Bench Coordinator Needed} We are still in need of a Ready Bench Coordinator. This is a great opportunity to a lead a team and become an integral part of the Barracudas! Feel free to reach out to Volunteer Coordinator, Kristen Townsend with any questions or concerns.

New Information! {Declare Your Child's Meet Commitment for the Season} All dual meets are ready to delcare attendance! Registration closes one week prior, so please commit early.  Swimmers may choose their events, but there is a possibility that coaches will make changes. Please use the notes column if your swimmer needs to leave early and can not be on a relay team. This will help the coaches build relay teams without making last minute changes. {Swim with an Olympic Gold Medalist} Thursday, June 28. Olympic Gold Medalist Jason Lezak will return to our pool again this summer to run a 1-day swim clinic. The Barracudas will be hosting this clinic but it is open to onther clubs as well, so please help spread the word. Registration is now open, click here to register!

{Champs Weekend} Saturday and Sunday, July 21-22 is Champs Weekend at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. This is a mandatory swim meet. If for some reason you have and extenuating circumstance where you need to be excused please email Champs Chair Liz Williams. There are a block of rooms that have been set up at the Stockton University Waterfront Hotel (209) 944-1140 and the Stockton Hilton (209) 957-9090. Both blocks are listed under Johnson Ranch Barracudas/Liz Williams. This is a courtesy block and available on a first come, first served basis. It is not required to stay in Stockton for Champs. This has been set up as a convenience. Additionally, there are many other hotels in the area.

{BarracudaWear} Click here for all the details about this year's BarracudaWear! Orders placed before April 14 will arrive in time for Time Trials. Please call American Logowear to see if your order has arrived. Orders placed after the 14th will arrive after Time Trials.

{Summer Employment at JRRC} Are you looking for a fun summer job?  JRRC is hiring Lifeguards and Swim Instructors ages 16 and older.  Applicants should submit an employment application, which is available at the front desk.  Pre-employment interviews will take place in March. Those offered a job will be hired upon completion of the required certification program.  Certifications are offered through local park and rec districts, and most take place in the spring, so if you are interested, please contact JRRC Youth Sports Director Jessica Rafanan for more information.
