The Eastern Canadian Open took place April 12-15, 2018 at the Windsor Aquatic and Training Centre.
from all across Eastern Canada gathered at the Aquatic Centre
The Richmond Hill Aquatic Club had 14 qualifiers however was represented by 13 Atheletes.
Raya Kee, Jiwoo Kwon, Nicole Lau, Karina Rusen and Mia Tang.
Andrei Baronow, Nicholas Bulban, Ethan Dyke-Elliott, Kent Goni, Andrew Pignatelli, Justin Wang, Matthew Wittmann and Eric Zhang.
Day 1 Results Summary
RHAC had one Silver Medal, two Team Records and 10 races in the Finals on Day 1 of the Eastern Canadian Champs.
Nicholas Bulban won the first Medal for RHAC on the opening day of the Eastern Canadian Champs. He swam away with the Silver Medal in the 16 & Under Boys 200 m. Breaststroke.
New Club Records were set by Nicholas Bulban in the 200 breast and Eric Zhang in 200 Free.
Other great swims were turned in by Eric Zhang and Ethan Dyke-Elliott (Consolation Final and placed 13th and 16th 200 m. Free), Matthew Wittmann who swam in the A Final of the 100 m. Backstroke, Jiwoo Kwon and Karina Rusen who both raced in the Consolation Finals of the 200 m. Breaststroke .
Day 2 Results Summary
RHAC Swimmers had three Finalists on Day 2 of the Eastern Canadian Champs.
Nicholas Bulban won his 2nd Silver Medal of the meet and a New Club Record in the 16 & Under Boys 100 m. Breaststroke. Matthew Wittmann placed 4th in the 50 m. Fly in the A Final and 11th in 50 m Back in the Consolation Final. Also competing in the evening Finals was Nichole Lau who finished 17th in the Consolation Finals of the 16 & Under Girls 100 m. Breaststroke.
Day 3 Results Summary
One Silver Medal, One Team Record and only one swim in Finals were the highlights of Day 3 at the Eastern Canadians Champs.
Bulban won Silver in the Boys 16 & Under 50
Team Record was set by Nicholas Bulban in the 16 & Under Boys 50 m. Breaststroke.
Day 4 Results Summary
1 Final Swim on Day 4 of the Eastern Canadian Open.
Eric Zhang finished 20th in the 16& Under
