Atomic City Aquatic Club (ACAC) swimmers launched their long course season by traveling to Marietta, Georgia for the Rays LC Invite. They looked impressive in this debut.
23 swimmers competed. Aydan Skelton (10) won three events and came in the top 3 in all 10 she swam, also qualifying for Southeasterns in all of her events. Landon Hall (8) made Southeasterns and scored points with top 8 finishes in all 8 of his events. Logan Hall (11) made Southeasterns with top 3 finishes in all 10 of his events. Tais Brown (14) won five events and made Southeasterns in seven while earning points for the team in all 10 he swam. Stephen Zhukov (11) had top 5 and Southeastern qualifying races in all 10 of his events.
Other swimmers also excelled. Carl Helus (12) made Southeasterns in the 50 Free and 50 Back. Sarah Helus (10) made Southeasterns in the 50 Fly and 100 Fly, earning points for the team with top 6 finishes nine of her events. Stuart Greene (11) made Southeasterns in the 50 Breast and 100 Breast, and Paul Greene made Southeasterns in the 100 Breast.
Also participating and swimming well for ACAC were Leah Alexander (10), Savannah and Sydney Brennan (14), Keyara Colandro (12), Camden Gerchar (13), Harper Houk (16), Jessica King (13), Creed Loy (14), Savannah Miniard (12), Sydney Ozcan (13), Austen Reid (17), Natalie Steger (11), Zack Telep (15), and Sarah Walker (16).
“So far, I am sufficiently impressed,” said Coach Andy Wagner. “We had a good start with this meet and are looking forward to a great long course season.”
