Swim BC Prospects West:

Congratulations to Ashley McMillanand Justin Fotherby who were selected as members of Team BC for 2018 Prospects West.  The swimmers were selected based on their short course performances this season and attended a training camp last week in Saskatoon.  Well done Ashley and Justin!

Reflective Goggles for Wenatchee and Open Water Swimming:

If you are swimming at the Wenatchee meet or have any open water/outdoor swimming planned for the summer, you will want to order Reflective Goggles!

Order Deadline:May 15th


Year End Awards Night and Picnic:  June 6th Registration deadline June 4th

Location:Pavillion at Skaha Park

Cost:$5 each to a max of $20 per Family

KISU will be providing pizza and drinks.  We are asking all families to bring either a salad or a dessert.

Please sign up your entire family under one swimmer by indicating your total number of people in your family in the comments section.

Please bring your own plates, cutlery and lawn chairs.


Arena Suit Order for 2018-2019 Season:Deadline to order June 22nd.

Arena will be sponsoring KISU again next season.  We are getting training suits for everyone in our team at a 25% discount from retail, plus we will get bigger deals on bags and track suits (as well as some other cool perks).  We need to get as many swimmers' sizes in by June 22nd so we can have the suits ready for you in our first week in September (there will be an option to order late, but you will also receive your suit late).  

Please sign up to order your suit and include your size and style in the notes.

There are two styles for girls - thick and thin straps.  And two styles for boys - brief (speedo) and jammer.  The club colour will be navy.



Up Coming Meets:

Salmon Arm Regionals:May 25th-27th Registration deadline: May 9th

Details of this meet have not been posted yet butexpect that it will be very similar to the Salmon Arm Regional Meet in February. If you don't have many Tier Times . . . this is the meet you want to be attending!


Wenatchee Apple Capital:  June 1st-3rd 2018 

This is KISU highlight meet of the summer.  The meet is open to all Sub4 swimmers and we really encourage all swimmers to attend.  It is great experience - 10 lane outdoor pool, international competition.  It is also a great team bonding experience for KISU.  Don't miss out. 

There is an early deadline as this meet does fill up and we want to be first to get our entries in.

Also . . . book your hotel rooms early as this can be a big weekend for Wenatchee with other events happening at the same time so you want to get your hotel booked as soon as possible.  Unless you are camping!

Tier I Kelowna: June 22nd- 24th Registration Deadline: June 4th

This is the second Tier I meet of the season.  Swimmers need to have the Tier I time in 200 IM and one other event.

All KISU swimmers with Tier I times should be attending.  Especially with the event being in Kelowna we are hoping to have bigger numbers for this Tier I.

More information will be posted once the meet package is out.  


Tier II Victoria: July 6th-8th Registration Deadline: June 5th

This will be the second Tier II meet of the season.  This time long course in Victoria.

All KISU swimmers with Tier II times should be attending, as this is the new AAAs.  KISU's goal is to place Top 5, but we will need everyone there to do it.

More information will be posted once the meet package is out for the time being, just plan on being there.
