3. Carmel Congrats!!
After some trials and tribulations associated with our pool issues last week, our swimmers displayed some impressive toughness and focus, shaking off the adversity and putting forth a strong first full-meet effort of the season over the weekend at Carmel. An up-to-date Honor Roll is posted on the club website and at the pool but special shout-outs to the swimmers below for some noteworthy performances. First, congrats to Carlise Leppert, who made the first Divisional cut of her career at Carmel in the 100 Breast. Charlotte Buening (200 IM), Kayley Spicer (100 Back), Lillian Tabor (100 Breast) and Andrew Troy (50 Breast) all added to their Divisional lists with new cuts. And veteran swimmers Lurilla Bereveskos, Katie Countryman, Finn Crist, Michael Goetz, Grace Lough, Meggie McPherson, Kaitlyn McPherson, Sarah McPherson, Caleb Parker, Logan Parker, Jack Steadham, Lillian Tabor, Evelyn Tabor, Andrew Troy and Lily Wolfe all added their names to the Honor Roll for the first time this season with multiple Divisional cuts. The Age Group State portion of the Honor Roll added its first set of names at Carmel, as Emily Buening (400 IM), Sarah McPherson (100 BR), Colin Parker (50 FR) and Jack Steadham (50 Back) made their first cuts of the season. And finally, Kiernan Fahey joined the AG State party, making a new cut in the 100 Breast, as well as claiming WTSC’s lone blue ribbon of the weekend, touching first in the 50 Breast. Check out the Honor Roll for these highlights and many more, and way to go WTSC swimmers on a great start to the summer.
