Hello WEST Families!
April showers certainly do bring May Flowers! I hope everyone’s allergies are being held at bay while enjoying this beautiful spring weather. Congrats to all of our senior elite swimmers that competed last weekend at Mayflowers in KCAC as well. Here are this week’s news:

Olympian Clinic Part II
We are very excited to announce a clinic with former American Record holder, NCAA champion, and Stanford graduate, DAVID NOLAN. We will be hosting David this upcoming Friday and Saturday May, 11-12th.
David Nolan is one of the most versatile swimmers in the world. At NCAA's he placed top 2 in the 200IM, 100 back and 200 back multiple times throughout his career. Additionally, David was also one of the best 100 & 200 freestylers in the country, making him an extremely well-rounded athlete. In 2015, he set the American Record in the 200 IM and became the first swimmer to ever break the 1:40.0 barrier, swimming 1:39.3. This record stood until 2018 when Caeleb Dressel broke it last month.
David most recently competed at the 2016 Olympic Trials, making top 8 in the 200IM and narrowly missing the team behind Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte. We look forward to having David spend time with our team this Friday and Saturday!

WEST will be running Coach’s Clinics at the end of summer for both team swimmers and summer team swimmers. Get a head start for the next season by sharpening your skills and practicing proper stroke techniques consistent with our elite club team. This is also a great way to prepare for our community meet in September! The tentative dates are:
August 6-10 (team, high school swimmers)
August 13-17 (Summer Team, PreComp)
As we head into summer and are seeing new and familiar faces around the pool, I just wanted to remind everyone to treat the pool and surrounding property with respect by cleaning up anything that you have brought in (such as garbage, equipment, clothing, etc.) Our staff works hard to make sure WEST is a friendly, safe, and hygienic place. Please review our team policies that are posted online here, and when in doubt, treat others as you would like to be treated.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Coach Tim at firstname.lastname@example.org. Keep up the hard work everyone!
