New Information! {Remind App} The Barracudas are now using the Remind App to remind you about meet sign ups, volunteer shifts, and other last minute details about upcoming events and activities. If you are already using the Remind App all you need to do is click “add a class” within the app, enter the code @fh736d and you will be added to our group. If you do not have the App, subscribe by texting @fh736d to 81010 or 972-295-9263.

New Information! {Flick 'n Float} May 18, 7:30-9:30 PM Bring a float or borrow a noodle and come join your teammates under the stars as we watch a movie and eat pizza! What movie will we be showing? Stay tuned… it will be announced soon! Click here for all the details and be sure to RSVP!

New Information! {Elk Grove Invitational} Sunday, May 20. Did you miss Time Trials? You have a chance to get updated times in before our first League Meet on June 2nd. Elk Grove is hosting an Invitational Meet on May 20th. You MUST jump on this and have your paperwork and check postmarked by THIS FRIDAY MAY 11th. Click  HERE for details on where to send your registration info.  Snail mail only for this meet. No online registration.

{Swim with an Olympic Gold Medalist} Thursday, June 28. Olympic Gold Medalist Jason Lezak will return to our pool again this summer to run a 1-day swim clinic. The Barracudas will be hosting this clinic but it is open to onther clubs as well, so please help spread the word. Space is limited!! Registration is now open, click here to register!

{Barracuda Swim Caps} Barracuda swim caps have arrived and are filed in the family folder boxes. Please check your box! The coaches would like to see swimmers wearing Barracuda caps ONLY. We love and appreciate all of our incoming swimmers from outside teams but please make sure to leave your old team caps at home. If you did not receive a cap, please contact Tech Administrator Rob Peters.

{Ready Bench Coordinator Needed} We are still in need of a Ready Bench Coordinator. This is a great opportunity to a lead a team and become an integral part of the Barracudas! Feel free to reach out to Volunteer Coordinator, Kristen Townsend with any questions or concerns.

New Information! {Champs Weekend} Saturday and Sunday, July 21-22 is Champs Weekend at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. This is a mandatory swim meet. If for some reason you have and extenuating circumstance where you need to be excused please email Champs Chair Liz Williams. There are a block of rooms that have been set up at the Stockton University Waterfront Hotel (209) 944-1140 and the Stockton Hilton (209) 957-9090. Both blocks are listed under Johnson Ranch Barracudas/Liz Williams. This is a courtesy block and available on a first come, first served basis. It is not required to stay in Stockton for Champs. This has been set up as a convenience. Additionally, there are many other hotels in the area. Please note that for Champs you will not be able to sign your children up for events. Swimmers will be entered in for all events according to their age group by Champs Coordinator, Liz Williams.

{Declare Your Child's Meet Commitment for the Season} All dual meets are ready to delcare attendance! Registration closes one week prior, so please commit early.  Swimmers may choose their events, but there is a possibility that coaches will make changes. Please use the notes column if your swimmer needs to leave early and can not be on a relay team. This will help the coaches build relay teams without making last minute changes. Access all meets from the Barracuda home page calendar section.

{BarracudaWear} Don’t forget to order your BarracudaWear! Our second round of BarracudaWear orders will close on May 11 for pick up between May 28 and June 1. Our final round of ordering will close on June 8 for pick up between June 25 and June 29. Click here for all the details about this year's BarracudaWear!

{Summer Employment at JRRC} Are you looking for a fun summer job?  JRRC is hiring Lifeguards and Swim Instructors ages 16 and older.  Applicants should submit an employment application, which is available at the front desk.  Pre-employment interviews will take place in March. Those offered a job will be hired upon completion of the required certification program.  Certifications are offered through local park and rec districts, and most take place in the spring, so if you are interested, please contact JRRC Youth Sports Director Jessica Rafanan for more information.

New Information! {Cinco De Mayo “Barracuda Kick-Off Party” THANK YOU!} On behalf of the Barracuda Swim Board, I want to say THANK YOU for everyone’s support and participation for our Barracudas Cinco De Mayo Kick-Off Party!  It was so much FUN seeing our amazing Team of Swimmers, Team of Coaches, Board Team and Families out front and behind the scenes all pulling together throughout the day in helping to create the best possible Barracuda Family experience!  Thank you Coach Jen, Coach Kim and Coach Joan for bringing the best out of our kids!  Also for being such good sports in getting dunked in freezing water all for the kids smiles and entertainment! Thank you Angelique Lastinger for helping all the kids with creating their unique Tie-Dye-Ties to honor Coach John and his cool ties! Thank you Ann Siebum for all your energy for the kids fun experience with Spirit Tent and photo booth in making it so memorable! Thank you to “The Margarita Manos” (Dennis Siebum and Lance Lastinger) for serving all the FUN drinks! Thanks so much to Eily Hamilton for managing all those sugared up kids in our new Game Area and Dunk Tank for a great time! Thank you Diana Johnson for capturing all those memorable picture moments throughout the day! Thanks to Brian Hickey for Announcing our Crazy Relays and for Gordon Johnson rallying all the kids teams!
