Aulea Weekly Update

Aloha Aulea  swimmers,

Great job to all swimmers in the senior and distance meets this weekend.  A special shout out  to Alana Barthel who smashed the Hawaiian Swimming records in the 15-16 girls 100 back and 200 back.  She established a new junior national time in the  100 back in the process.  Way to go Alana!

Coming up next weekend is the A+ meet at VMAC on Saturday and the flat island race on Sunday.  As a reminder, swimmers with at least one A time may swim up to 3 events.  Please submit entries no later than Monday night.

Next week we will be following the same practice schedule as this past week.  Our AM practices will continue to be on T/TH.

We will have one special event at Le Jardin next Wednesday.  We will be doing a special “Aulea signing day” ceremony at 5:15 PM on Wednesday to honor all of our graduating seniors that have signed National Letters of Intent to swim in college next year.  All are welcome to attend this special event.

Lastly, we have heard some reports about good progress on the pool and if all goes well we will be back at the Kailua District Park in a week or two (fingers crossed).

Happy Streamlines and Goooooo Aulea!

Coach Joe
