Additionally, the technical expertise of the local organizing committee, combined with dozens of well-trained volunteers, make it a highly desirable location for international competition, particularly for UANA and FINA events."

The 2018 UANA Open Water Swimming Championships underway on Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands. The events begin on June 15th and conclude on June 18th.
The UANA Pan American Open Wter Championships include national federations from South America, Central America & the Caribbean, and North America.
The venue for all events is one of the most gorgeous stretches of the island, and features the world-famous Seven Mile Beach.

UANA 5k & 10k Open Water Sea Swims 2018
George Town, Grand Cayman – The open water swim season concluded this past weekend on Seven Mile Beach, with official UANA events shouldering the Flowers 1 Mile Sea Swim. The UANA events had athletes participating from several federations throughout the region, including:
- Brazil (unofficial)
- Cayman Islands
The UANA Open Water Sea Swims have become an annual event, taking advantage of the One Mile Flowers Sea Swim, transforming a one day event in to a three day event attracting even more international and top level swimmers from the North, South and Central Americas.
