Summer Champs Pool at IUPUI is One of America's Finest

Summer Champs at IUPUI is just around the corner. We are really excited to hold the meet at IUPUI in Indianapolis Indiana.

This is truly one of the most historic pools in US Swimming.

Did you know:

  • The IUPUI natatorium is the largest indoor pool in America. It holds approximately 1 million gallons of water.
  • The IUPUI natatorium has hosted hundreds of NCAA Men's and Women's swimming and diving championships; USA swimming championships; local and regional meets; and 11 US Olympic Trials.
  • IU Natatorium is where Michael Phelps qualified for his first Olympics in 2000. The name of every Olympian to qualify at the natatorium is etched on the wall at the pool.  
  • The natatorium underwent a $20 million renovation two years ago.  
  • The IUPUI natatorium has created over 100 American Records and 15 world records.
  • The IUPUI hosted the 1987 Pan American Games and the 2009 ConocoPhillips National Championships
  • The natatorium is a zero-waste facility
  • It is also only 30 minutes further from Columbus to IUPUI than BGSU - the site of last summers championship meet and the drive is much easier.
