Thank You Parent Volunteers!

Dear Parents and Staff,

What a weekend!!! I wanted to personally thank everyone for all the time and effort that went into a very efficient and well run meet. By far this is the largest meet this season that we have hosted in terms of the number of swimmers and the number of sessions. We can't run these meets without everyone's help and cooperation. From the entire Marlins Board we want to thank each of you for the volunteer effort and for being such good hosts to our guests this weekend. I heard so many complements from visiting parents how organized and efficient the meet ran. I want to personally thank Coach Brad and his staff, Deanna Mckweon, Lisa Habel and her team in the meet office, Joe Replogle and his group of officials, and Deanna Wall and all the people who helped with the Boosters table this weekend.
If you didn't get a chance to make it to Keating this weekend, you missed out on the Marlins hosting Team Puerto Rico. Their fans were spirited and gracious to everyone from the Marlins, and their athletes were humble and great competitors. Their coach and parents one after another came up to thank me and ask me to express their appreciation to each of the Marlins parents and coaches for the hospitality they received during their stay in Cincinnati. They did have one request, On Sunday night one of their young athletes presented the Marlins with a token gift of their appreciation , a team signed Puerto Rican flag and the athlete made a gracious speech to the crowd. The young athletes proud parents in the moment missed a chance to take a picture or a video and asked if anyone may taken a video of the moment. If so if you could send that to Jean and we will forward it on.
It is now officially Championship Season, Regionals, JO and Senior Championships and Sectionals are upon us. We look forward to great swims from all our athletes. Thanks again and  we will see you at the pool.
