Third day of competition proved to be a challenge for our younger swimmers as they learned first-hand the importance of athlete management over a four day competition. However, luck was on our side.
Women 13 and under 100 Fr was up first with Erika Thomas making her first final appearance with a personal best time of 1:02.02 by more than a second. She came into the event ranked 22nd overall and moved into 7th finishing in finals with another best time of 1:01.49, shaving another half second.
Arianna Miller was next up in the 14 year old 100 Fr coming off her thrilling Day 2 night a little exhausted. She managed to swim a time good enough for 8th overall and making her way into finals. Her finals swim moved her up 3 spots to 5th overall with a time improvement of almost a second from prelims.
Ella Rennie and Abby Howell were back again with another final swim in the womens 16 year old 100 Br. Ella used her strength to muscle her way into 4th overall with a time of 1:15.88, 4 tenths off her best, and Abby clocked in at 1:16.09 taking 6th overall dropping .32 of her best.
Lastly, our 14 and under womens relay (Erika Thomas, Ajete Eggers, Ella Lightheart, and Arianna Miller), finished 11th overall beating their seed time by over 3 seconds! Next, the 15 and over womens relay (Cailyn Eley, Ella Rennie, Kendar Lutsch, Elise Legault-Warren), finished 11th overall and were close to breaking the BTSC club record by nearly 1 second.
Tomorrow is our last day of competition with 9 swims to go and the Trojans plan to use everything they have left inthe tank to go out with a bang!
