Welcome to the Week at a Glance E-Bulletin that provides your one-stop-spot for all the information you need to know now, some reminders, and where to find the information you need. Please make sure you are logged on to the website when you review the information-many of the pages are visible only when you are logged on.
BROOKSIDE MEET SIGN-OUTS DUE TODAY
If you are a competitive swimmer who will not be participating in the away meet at the Brookside Hurricanes, we need your sign-out by TONIGHT, Sunday, July 1st. Instructions on how to sign out of a Swim Meet are HERE on the Parent tab under Sign out for a Meet. ALSO remember if you are signed up for Volunteering at this meet but will not participate, please go into the Volunteer sheet and remove yourself so another family can pick up the job.
STARS AND STRIPES INVITATIONAL
Coach Wendy has been working with individual swimmers and families to put together our team going to the Stars and Stripes Invitational Meet on July 4th. If you are participating in this meet, information can be found HERE. Don't forget we need parents in attendance to volunteer, so see the Job signup for a volunteer role.
2018 Swim-A-Lap KICKOFF: SUPPORTING CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION
We are kicking off our 2018 Swim-a-Lap event. This year we are swimming and fundraising to make a supporting donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of one of our own Dolphin swimmers who struggles daily with this terrible disease. Click HERE to go to the fundraising page and read more about Jack and the work of the CFF, and see the event page HERE for links to the Job signups and how you can help with this event.
FAMILY FOLDERS-REMINDER TO CHECK THEM!
We have the Family Folders (FF) put together. Every family on the team has a FF, including Mini Dolphin families. This is a spot to look for things such as ribbons, flyers, DQ slips after meets, etc. We store these under cabinets in the pavilion and someone usually gets them out during practices. Please make it a habit to check your FF once or twice a week.
UPCOMING EVENTS and FUN STUFF
This Saturday, July 7th will be our annual 15-18 Age Group party/cookout. If you have a swimmer going, please remember to use the job signup to pick an item to bring so the hosts-the Carroll family can plan accordingly. Click HERE to go to the event page and view the details.
PRINCE WILLIAM SWIM LEAGUE RESULTS-WEEK THREE
The PWSL puts out weekly league-wide results that include Top 15 Relays, Top 25 Times, etc. These results usually come out on Sunday afternoons and will be posted HERE on the PWSL Results page under the Meets/Visitors tab. See where swimmers stack up against other teams and get a sneak peek on the next week's competition.
VOLUNTEER HOUR RECONCILIATION and REMINDERS
If you find a discrepancy, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, and they will work with you to make a correction. The Volunteering page HERE under the parent tab has instructions on how to look at your hours. ALSO, with so many families this year, our Volunteer coordinators may need to shift some hours and job assignments around. They will let you know if this applies to you. Please don't stress about this-we just want everyone to share the work load equally to get it done! Our Volunteer Coordinators do an amazing job keeping track of everything and helping folks looking for work. If you need ANY help with Volunteering, email email@example.com.
