Recap of this weekend...
Championships started tonight. The Waves arrived with a small crew
of 17 swimmers to take on teams with 2x the swimmers or more on
their rosters. I was very impressed with our older swimmers holding
their own in each heat/event they swam. It would be the ladies'
team to take the lead for the Waves Swim Team. Abigail Hutcheson
would take 3rd place in High Point Trophy winners with very fast
swimming in each of her events placing top 3 in each event and
adding 29 points! Hannah Ki
lead the 11-12 Female charge in the points with impressive swims
adding 24 points. Their team mates Jenna Ki 4 pts, Madison Winship
11 pts, Payton Koman, 3pts., Rachel Murdock 3 pts., and Carys
Rountree 1 pt. The female team scores were in the Top 5 with 111
The male team would be lead by Owen Brubaker with a total of 2pts for the night.
We had good strong swims from Logan Godbey, Sydney Godbey, Liam Parke, Savannah Patelczyk, Shayanna Patelczyk, Prisha Ravindra, Hannah Self, and Cole Brubaker. Proud of our WAVES!
Tomorrow will be FAST swimmng from our younger group and the boys 11-12 yr olds at Habersham Aquatic Center in Clarkesville, Ga. Good Luck WAVES!
Our younger WAVES stole the show yesterday at NGSL League Championships!!
Our little Waves were the powerhouse that drove us to a 2ND PLACE TEAM FINISH!! We are so proud of them. We had 24 swimmers come and combine into over a couple of hundred points and 7 high-point trophies! Abigail Hutcheson(Friday Night HIgh Point), Ryder Eagen, Lexi Flanders, Nate Flanders, Daniel Gonzalez, Matthew Kwon, and Ivans Bogdanovs all won personal high point trophies!!
The rest of our swimmers, on the day, ALL dropped time and raced to personal best times! We really needed our younger swimmers to come through, and they did! We had multiple swimmers such as Alex Winship, Shaynna Patelczyk, Hannah Ki, Jenna Ki, Carys Rountree, Payton Koman, Liam Parke, Logan Godbey, Jacob Neale and Peyton Bergeron all went above and beyond their age groups. All of these athletes swam against other swimmers who were up to 4 years older than themselves, all in the name of getting the most team points possible. Congrats and good job to all these athletes!!!!
Every Cumming Wave is responsible for the team trophy we WON yesterday, without all the hard work we put in daily, we would not have achieved the high point trophy. So thank you Waves for the exciting NGSL Swim Season!!!! Special thanks to our Coaches, Jr. Coaches, parent volunteers, and our cheer section!
WAVES take 2nd PLACE!
