The Sharks competed hard on day 3 of Speedo Sectional in Jenks, Oklahoma! YNS saw nine different swimmers make it back for finals, 3 team records, and ended the night with a huge relay win!
 
At this meet, the top 32 swimmers in the morning make it back to finals, and the top 24 score points. Throughout the week we will be highlighting all finals swims, scoring swims, and team records.
 
Day 3 Highlights
 
400 Freestyle
Hannah Perkins scored 1 point and finished in 24th place. Hannah's prelims swim (4:34.98) broke the 13-14 girls team record previously set by Ryan Alexander in July, 2010 with 4:36.20!
 
Meagan Hathaway scored 13 points and finished in 14th place with a time of 4:33.15. Meagan dropped .5 seconds off of her prelims swim!
 
Nicole Welch scored 14 points and finished in 13th place with a time of 4:28.65!
 
100 Breast
Sophia Lumino finished in 29th place with a time of 1:16.91. Sophia dropped .7 seconds off her best time!
 
Liz Dokina scored 1 point and finished in 24th place with a time of 1:17.84. This was Liz first individual point of the meet!
 
Amanda Wager scored 11 points and finished in 16th place with a 1:15.26. Amanda not only broke her own team record in the morning, but broke it again at night! Her previous record stood at a 1:16.31.
 
200 Fly
Meagan Hathaway finished in 26th place with a time of 2:26.09. Meagan dropped over two seconds from her prelims swim!
 
Victoria Ambrose scored 1 point and finished in 24th place!
 
50 Back
Catherine Christuk finished in 31st place with a time of 31.97!
 
800 Freestyle Relay
The relay team of Maggie Summit, Hannah Perkins, Meagan Hathaway, and Nicole Welch finished in 1st place overall with a time of 8:32.76!!!!
 
The relay took .28 seconds off of their seed time for the win. The relay also broke the team record set in July, 2012 by the team of India Boland, Ryan Alexander, Toreisa Rafferty-Millett, and Megan Alexander who swam a 8:36.75!
