BSC Dominates Last Day of Sectionals
BSC Saved the best for last at the Central Zone Sectional meet at the University of Iowa. The battle for the women's title came down to the very last realys! That is amazing to have a meet that big be that close after 4 days of competition! BSC Placed. 6th Overall with the Women's Team Placing 2nd. What a tremendous weekend!
In the Women's 1500 BSC dominated the field with 6 teammates scoring points! The team was led by winner Maggie Graves and New Junior National Qualifier Jane Smith. Lily Reader swam to 9th Place, Emily Bucaro 11th, Ellie Graves 12th, and Jenny Tokarz was 16th. On the Men's side Dan Langlois swam to 8th place points challenging the Futures Qualifying time. Griffin O'Leary set a New Team Record and placed 10th.
In the 200IM Lily Reader swam an excellent 200IM in Finals dropping nearly 3 seconds and a Best Time good for 27th place.
In the Final event of the meet the 400Medley Relay the A Relay of Emma Pritchett, CC Kitzman, Lily Reader and Bridget O'Leary gave it all they had and touched 4th. The B Relay of Jenny Tokarz, Jane Smith, Addisyn Donfris and Emily Bucaro had a 3 second time drop good for 12th place. The Men's Relay of Griffin O'Leary, Jack Hoppe, Dan Langlois and Daryl Kay swam a fine race good for 17th place.
