Maggie Shines in Edmonton

Maggie MacNeil was nominated to the Canadian Senior Pan Pacific Championship team on the strength of her silver medal finish in the 100m butterfly and her 4th place finish in the 100m freestyle at the Canadian Swimming Trials in Edmonton July 18-22. Unfortunately, due to academic commitments at the University of Michigan this summer, Maggie has declined the nomination and will instead continue her training in Ann Arbor, MI in final preparation for the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Fiji in late August. Both swims for Maggie were LAC club records, and she was joined by fellow LAC'er and Western University Mustang Charis Huddle in both the 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle A final. Charis narrowly missed the podium in the 50m free, placing 4th in a personal best of 26.03.

Well done ladies.
