Team USA's Lorenza Savini at UIPM Pentathlon Junior World Championshipip


Lorenza qualified for TEAM USA 

Give a Big Shout Out to #SPYNATION's Lorenza Savini who qualified for Team USA’s Pentathlon Junior Squad in Texas a few weeks ago at the USA Modern Pentathlon National Championship.

She will be competing at 2018 UIPM Junior World Championship in Kladno, Czech Republic in the qualifying rounds on Thursday, August 2nd in order to advance to Finals on Saturday.

 Lorenza is currently Nationally ranked 3rd in USA's Junior Modern Pentathlon Standings, plus, ranked 4th in the USA’s Senior Modern Pentathlon Standings.

The Modern Pentathlon, invented by Pierre de Coubertin (father of the Modern Olympics), is a variation on the military aspect of the Ancient pentathlon. It focuses on the skills needed by a late-19th-century soldier, with competitions in shooting , swimming, fencing, equestrianism, and cross country running.

Lorenza is a SPY Alum, Miami East High School Graduate, and will be a sophomore student/athlete at Otterbein University. She competes on Otterbein University's CrossCountry and Track teams. She trained with Spy Swim Team over the summer season.
