Maggie MacNeil raced to GOLD on Day 3 of the Junior Pan Pacific Championships, hosted in Suva Fiji from August 23-26. Her time of 58.38 seconds was a Junior Pan Pacific record, formerly held by another Canadian, Noemie Thomas from Vancouver in 2010, and Maggie convincingly won the race, finishing over a second ahead of the 2nd place finisher from Japan. Maggie was also on three Canadian medal-winning relays, silver in the women's 4x100 medley, and bronze in the women's 4x100FR and the mixed 4x100 medley.
