Records Fall at Summer Junior Nationals!

At the Summer Junior Nationals in Irvine, CA, our Turtles were represented by two swimmers - Ben Miller and Abby Maoz. Both swimmers had a PHENOMENAL meet, recording lifetime best times in every swim! Both swimmers also would break team records over the course of the 5-day swim meet!

On Day 1, Ben got things started with a 2:01.40 in the 200 meter butterfly; breaking his own team record and qualifying 4th into finals. Abby followed up with a lifetime best in the 100 meter breaststroke and took down the team record with a new time of 1:12.64. That evening, in finals, Ben would race to another best time; touching the wall in 2:00.70, and winning a bronze medal for 3rd place overall!

The next record to fall also belonged to Mr. Miller, as he would break the 100 meter butterfly record twice - once in prelims, going 55.32, and again in finals, recording a 54.80 and finishing in 17th overall.

On the last day of the meet, Ben would add one more record to his total, racing to a 2:10.23 in the 200 meter IM, and breaking his own team record.

While not team records, Ben also set a personal best, and the 2nd fastest time for TTSC in the 400 IM (4:33.73), and Abby also went a personal best, and 2nd fastest all time for TTSC in the 200 breast (2:41.67).

CONGRATULATIONS to both Ben and Abby for their amazing meet and their multiple team records!
